Thierry Marcel

After a postdoctoral fellowship in the Department of Biology at MIT , Cambridge, USA (1985-1988), a PhD in Microbiology from the University of Toulouse (1985), and an engineering degree in Biological Engineering from Polytech Clermont-Ferrand (1982), Thierry Marcel joined the R&D department of Roquette, a global supplier of plant-based ingredients for the food , pharmaceutical , and other industries. He has acquired extensive experience in industrial biotechnology over the past 37 years, holding various executive positions, including Director of European Plants, Group R&D Director, and Chief Scientific and Technological Officer. He has participated in various innovation, technological transformation, and M&A projects in Europe, the USA, Canada, China, India, and Singapore. He now joins the network of experts and Senior Advisors at Vauban 128.
