Philippe Tenaud

Magnetic Materials Expert & IP Portfolio Management

Philippe Tenaud has been a recognized expert in innovation management for over 35 years, both in Research & Development and in Intellectual Property management. He has worked in various industries within groups such as Pechiney , Carbone Lorraine (Mersen), Markem-Imaje (Dover), ARaymond, and is recognized for his contributions in the development of hard magnetic materials, including the famous rare earth magnets (NdFeB and SmCo) as well as their manufacturing processes (powder metallurgy, melt spinning, etc.) and their applications. Philippe also has over twenty years of experience in Intellectual Property management, including managing a portfolio of more than 2,500 patents and utility models, and all associated processes (TPO, oppositions, patent cancellations, litigation, freedom-to-operate studies, intercompany transfers, inventor compensation, etc.) in the fields of magnetic materials, digital printing, and automotive components. In April 2026, he joined the Vauban 128 Materials & Processes expert network and also contributed to its scientific and technological asset valorization activities under its Innovation 128 brand.
