Philippe Tanguy

Philippe Tanguy is a senior consultant in the hydrogen sector and an associate professor at Polytechnique Montréal. Throughout his career, he has held several leadership positions, including Director of Strategy at HTEC Inc., responsible for the development of green hydrogen in Quebec, Director General of Polytechnique Montréal, and Vice President of Science at TotalEnergies . He has also held three industrial research chairs and been a professor at several Canadian universities. Philippe is a key contributor to Quebec's Green Hydrogen Strategy, was a founding member of the Hydrogen Council, and chaired the World Council of Chemical Engineering. Philippe is a founding member of the Hassan II Academy of Sciences and Technology and a Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Engineering. His academic background includes a PhD in Physics from Sorbonne University, a PhD in Chemical Engineering from Laval University, and executive management training from the MIT Sloan School of Management. In March 2026, Philippe joined the Vauban 128 Hydrogen Expert network.
