Jean-Michel Darroy

A graduate of Supaéro (1979) and the CPA (Centre de Perfectionnement aux Affaires), Jean-Michel Darroy spent the majority of his highly international career in the space industry (from Matra in 1980 to Airbus Defence & Space in 2021). He held management positions in diverse fields such as satellite design, in-orbit operations, associated ground segments, and Earth observation services. Within the latter, he notably led subsidiaries such as Spot Image and Infoterra from 2005 to 2012. He was also deeply involved in the world of innovation, for example, by establishing and managing a technology watch unit in Silicon Valley for the Matra group in the late 1980s and early 1990s. Since 2021, he has advised various aerospace, space, and drone startups in France and the USA. And since its creation in 2023, he has been president of Aerospace Angels, the French network of business angels in the aeronautics, space, and drone sectors.
