Jean-Marie Dubois
Metallic Materials & Processes Expert
Jean-Marie Dubois holds a doctorate in physical sciences and is an emeritus research director at the CNRS (French National Centre for Scientific Research). He has held a number of positions, including coordinator of the European CMA (Materials Science and Engineering) network of excellence, founding director of the Jean Lamour Institute , now one of the largest public research centers dedicated to materials science and engineering , and president of Section 15, "Solid-State Chemistry, Nanomaterials and Processes," of the French National Centre for Scientific Research. Jean-Marie Dubois's work has focused primarily on the crystalline structure, transport properties, and applied physics of specific metallic materials : metallic glasses , liquid alloys, large-scale intermetallic compounds , and quasicrystals . In this context, he has acquired exceptional experience in knowledge transfer to industry and in innovation in general. He is the author of over 300 publications in peer-reviewed journals, two books, and holds 14 patents. He has received several international awards, including the TMS RF Mehl Award in the USA and the IUVSTA Science Prize. He is a member of the European Academy of Sciences. In his core areas of expertise, where he has remained abreast of current scientific and technical developments, he will enable Vauban 128 to enhance the quality of our studies and ad-hoc monitoring missions.
