Gilbert Menduni

Gilbert Menduni holds a degree in Materials Science, specializing in High Polymers (Strasbourg), and an International MBA from École des Ponts et Chaussées (Paris). For 38 years, Gilbert held various positions within the Essilor Group , including 20 years in Japan (Tokyo, Nagoya), all related to innovation and R&D in the fields of products and processes in optics, chemistry, and physics ( materials, surface treatments, optical coatings, liquid-phase nanoparticles , transparent optical materials and components , industrial equipment, etc.). Gilbert established a joint venture, a technical and technology and market intelligence center, and led collaborations with companies and research centers in coordination with Essilor Group's R&D and Engineering departments in France and the United States . In his final years as Director of Partnerships, he identified and implemented industrial collaborations with European, American, Japanese, and Korean companies. Gilbert now joins the Vauban 128 network of Senior Advisors and will participate in market research and monitoring, particularly in Asia and especially in Japan, whose language he speaks fluently.
