Bertrand Largy
Expert in Electric Traction Systems
A graduate of ECAM-SUPELEC engineering school and former Expert Leader for the "Electric Powertrain Group" at Renault, Bertrand Largy has spent almost his entire career in the field of electric traction. After several years in the rail industry ( TCO and then Alstom ), he was responsible, from the early 1990s, for the development of an electric microcar, the first electric vehicles marketed by Renault in 1996, and then for all aspects of electric traction at the manufacturer, guiding its developments that led to the mass production of electric vehicles since 2010. As Expert Leader for the "Electric Powertrain Group", he was in charge of technical direction and building Renault's expertise in this area. Today, Bertrand Largy is president of the "Electric Vehicle and its Ecosystem" expert community of the French Society of Automotive Engineers (SIE). In March 2026, Bertrand joined the Vauban 128 network of Experts & Senior Advisors.
