Alain Hazotte

Metallic Materials & Processes Expert

Alain Hazotte is Professor Emeritus at the University of Lorraine, specializing in structural materials —particularly metallic alloys —from their manufacturing processes to their structural properties. He holds a doctorate from the National Polytechnic Institute of Lorraine (1983) and a Habilitation to Supervise Research (HDR) from the University of Lorraine (2000). He worked successively as a CNRS researcher (IJL laboratory in Nancy, 1984–2001) and then as a university professor (LEM3 laboratory and ENIM engineering school in Metz, 2001–2021). From 2014 to 2021, he also participated in the launch of the Technological Research Institute for Materials , Metallurgy and Processes ( IRT M2P ), a shared research center that collaborates with higher education institutions, large corporations, business consortia, and SMEs. For Vauban 128, Alain will participate in monitoring missions and the creation of state-of-the-art reports in the field of metallic materials.
